The Transparency Standard
A track record should make its inputs, calculations, and limitations inspectable. Below is a neutral checklist you can apply to any performance claim — including this one. Every answer describes Vaapad Capital's self-published record of the founder's own Interactive Brokers account and links to the relevant public documentation.
Where something is not yet done, it says so plainly rather than implying otherwise.
Where do the numbers come from?
The record covers one real Interactive Brokers account belonging to the founder. The public curve uses stored daily NAV values; CPAPI points can be provisional and IBKR Flex can later settle them. Imported executions use broker execution IDs when available. This is not external verification.
See the data-source stepsAre the losing trades shown too?
The Call Ledger shows closed round trips derived from the stored trade ledger, including winners and losers, with hold-return, drawdown-in-hold and streaks. This does not independently establish completeness against the broker account.
Open the Call LedgerCan you check the math yourself?
Yes. The exact Sharpe / Sortino / Calmar / volatility / max-drawdown formulas are published, including the daily-return definition, the 252-day annualisation and the suppression rules for thin samples.
Read the formulasDo you say when the data is stale?
The public portfolio summary shows one overall state: LIVE, STALE or FALLBACK. SHADOW is a provider diagnostics mode, not a state currently emitted by this public route. The state describes the selected current snapshot, not every number or historical row.
See the data-state machineDo you disclose what you're researching but do NOT own?
Yes. The Radar lists names under research that are explicitly not held, each with a dated note and a thesis stage — an on-the-record research log, separate from the live book.
See what's on the radarIs the macro context public and sourced?
Yes. The Macro desk uses public benchmarks (real rates, DXY, metals, energy) and a book-scoped catalyst calendar. Facts are attributed; no economic print is invented.
Open the Macro deskIs any of it dressed up as advice?
No. Everything is retrospective and descriptive disclosure of the founder's own account. Nothing is investment advice, asset management, or a solicitation — and the site states so on every surface.
Read the disclaimerHow is your payment data handled?
Checkout runs entirely on Stripe's hosted, PCI-DSS Level 1 infrastructure. Card details are entered on Stripe's servers and never touch ours.
Read the security notesIs there a third-party audit of the track record?
No. The record is self-published and its formulas and data path are documented, but it is not independently audited or attested. The current public export also does not expose per-row source or provisional status.
How the track record is sourced
How cached portfolio snapshots, provisional CPAPI values, Flex daily closes, and execution de-duplication work.
How to measure any track record
The full checklist as a self-audit — with our own honest scorecard.
System activity
Internal activity counters from the last 30 days: cache refreshes, imported trade rows, research refreshes, alert deliveries, and anti-spam dedupe activity. Operational records, not external verification.
