The Transparency Standard

Here we document data sources, calculation limits and selected terminal features. Account data, research and discussions have different sources and limits. The linked pages explain these self-published disclosures; they are not an independent attestation.

Where something is not yet done, it says so plainly rather than implying otherwise.

• Where do the numbers come from?

  The record covers one real Interactive Brokers account belonging to the founder. The public curve uses stored daily NAV values; CPAPI points can be provisional and IBKR Flex can later settle them. Imported executions use broker execution IDs when available. This is not external verification.

• Are the losing trades shown too?

  The Completed trades view calculates results only with sufficient execution and instrument data. Trades without adequate evidence are excluded whether they would show a gain or a loss, with the data gap disclosed. This does not establish complete or independently audited broker history.

• Can you check the math yourself?

  The methodology documents formulas and source limits. NAV alone is insufficient for cash-flow-adjusted returns or risk ratios. A separately qualified IBKR PortfolioAnalyst TWR report can supply those calculations, with its own stated period and retrieval date. Unadjusted NAV changes remain separate.

• Do you say when the data is stale?

  The public portfolio summary shows one overall state: LIVE, STALE or FALLBACK. SHADOW is a provider diagnostics mode, not a state currently emitted by this public route. The state describes the selected current snapshot, not every number or historical row.

• How is research distinguished from actual holdings?

  Field Notes contains published research. A mention of an instrument does not establish whether it is held. Current positions are shown separately in the portfolio, with the snapshot's data status.

• Is any of it dressed up as advice?

  The terminal combines account data with published reasoning, research and discussions. Not every item describes an actual trade: scenarios depend on assumptions and contributions reflect their respective authors' views. Content is not tailored to your personal circumstances and may contain errors.

• How is your payment data handled?

  Checkout runs entirely on Stripe's hosted, PCI-DSS Level 1 infrastructure. Card details are entered on Stripe's servers and never touch ours.

• Is there a third-party audit of the track record?

  No. The record is self-published and its formulas and data path are documented, but it is not independently audited or attested. The current public export also does not expose per-row source or provisional status.
